Opening Day of the Garden Season

Monday, April 29, 2024 at 9:00 am to 12:00 noon

Volunteers are welcome to join us in the garden between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon. Bring your garden gloves!

Please come to the garden any Monday morning during the season.  No experience or special skills are required.

Annual Garden Party

Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

Dimitri Gerakaris is an architectural and sculptural metal smith.  He designed the inspiring fountain which sits in our garden pool.  He is a Dartmouth College graduate and has received a number of prestigious awards, including from the National Endowment for the Arts and the International Institute for Metal Design.   He was the founder of the Artist-Blacksmith’s Association of North America.  Mr. Gerakaris has received both residential and institutional commissions for sculptures locally, nationally and internationally.   Please look at his website to view some of his other stunning works, www.artmetaldimitri.com.

Our speaker will be talking, appropriately, about “The Artistic Garden.”

We hope our 2024 garden party will celebrate and raise awareness of the Garden at Tracy Library’s beauty and value to the residents and visitors in the New London area.

Volunteer Appreciation Event

We want to thank our volunteers for the hundreds of hours of knowledge, energy, and hard work that they have given to keep the Garden at Tracy Library a beautiful and inspiring oasis in our community.

We celebrate with them as the Garden is nearing its closure for the season with a special appreciation event. All regular volunteers are welcome.
